What is your role in supporting entrepreneurship in your municipality/incubator?
I am the Head of Operations at Peak Inkubator, the regional incubator for Jämtland and Härjedalen. My role is to lead the strategic and operational development of the incubator to support ambitious, innovation-driven entrepreneurs in building scalable and sustainable businesses that contribute to regional growth and employment.
What are the main challenges entrepreneurs face in your community?
The biggest challenge is access to capital in the early stages. Many business ideas with strong potential fail to grow because they lack early investments. This also demands that the entrepreneurs work in a structured way from day one, ensuring that their business models are scalable, based on innovation, and have a clear market fit.
What made you decide to work with The Scaling School?
We were looking for a digital tool that could help push our entrepreneurs forward in a structured, visual, and interactive way. The Scaling School offered an effective platform to understand where each entrepreneur stands and what key steps they need to take to progress.
Which part of the program had the most impact on the entrepreneurs?
Definitely the Customer Discovery phase. Learning to truly understand your customer, getting out to test and validate assumptions, find pilot customers, iterate, and refine value proposition. You can't assume a market exists just because you believe in the idea. This part of the program helped break, or supported, that illusion.
How has working with The Scaling School changed or improved your support for entrepreneurs?
It has significantly shifted how both we and our entrepreneurs see their businesses. It encourages them to take a step back and view their business objectively from an external perspective rather than becoming emotionally attached to the initial idea.
Would you recommend The Scaling School to other incubators? Why?
Yes, absolutely. It’s a powerful way to bring entrepreneurs together for peer-to-peer learning while simultaneously providing concrete, actionable steps for each individual company. It adds real value both for the teams and for us as incubator coaches.
